I have a portable air purifier, but I wished I had a whole-home air purifier.
Carrying the portable air purifier around the house is a pain in the butt.
I have clean air in the room I’m in, but it is working hard, because I have an open floor plan. If I had a whole-home air purifier, I wouldn’t need to worry about how hard it is working. It would be cleaning the air throughout the house. When I got the portable air purifier, it was perfect for my little apartment. I didn’t need to move it, because it could clean the air in the entire apartment, and do it efficiently. When my husband and I bought a home, it was a little different. I was thinking how much energy it was taking to purify the entire home. I had a lot of dust, and the smell of the dogs was prevalent. I told my husband we needed a whole-home air purification system. He told me he would think about it. Along with the mortgage, he was afraid it would be too expensive to install. The installation was expensive, but it wouldn’t cost much more to run than it did to run the portable air purifier, and it would purify the air in the entire house. We talked about the necessity of a whole-home air purifier, until the smoke came down from the wildfires. That day, he called the HVAC company to have a whole-home air purification system installed. He said he didn’t want the smoke to get into the house, and cause me to have an asthma attack, or end up in the hospital.
