My advertising agency

My advertising agency

I recently graduated from college with a degree in marketing.

After interning with a large firm in the area, I decided to open my own business as a full-service agency. This basically means that I offer both traditional and digital marketing. Traditional marketing includes print, billboards, tv commercials and radio ads. Digital marketing reaches a larger population through websites, social media, and blogs. To get my business started, I followed a checklist from one of my college classes. There were legal, insurance, rental, and employment considerations to be handled before I could begin transacting business. When I finally opened for business, my very first client was a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning company. I got quite an education about what the HVAC industry is all about. Air temperature, air quality, and and energy cost savings are the broad spectrum that the acronym HVAC encompasses. Whether a home’s heating system is a traditional furnace, ductless mini-split, geothermal, or a boiler, an HVAC contractor can install, repair and/or maintain the system. When it comes to emergency repairs, this is one industry that works weekends, evenings, and holidays. In fact, almost all contractors guarantee a 24-hour maximum time in which to respond to your call. Beyond residential HVAC services, there are commercial-industrial HVAC contractors, who typically have additional certifications. Whether it’s an industrial HVAC application or light commercial, they are skilled in installing, repairing and maintaining the system. Once I learned the basics of the industry, I was able to create an awesome ad campaign, one with the company’s brand, lots of impressive graphics, and even a song for the radio and tv ads.
