My family recently got a pet bearded dragon.
Spike is an adult and we got all his heat lights and UVB fixtures with him. He is a elegant addition to the family, however, the site we set aside for him in the livingroom is simply not going to work, then the Heating & Air Conditioning vent is right over that spot and it pipes freezing frigid air right into his tank when the central air conditioning is on. It is Summer right now so the air conditioning is on all the time and bad Spike is frigid blooded. The first two nights, we tried closing the vent and letting the vents from the rest of the household cool the kitchen, however that didn’t work. The kitchen got unquestionably hot and uncomfortable. So we moved Spike to the middle of the hallway however his tank is immense and takes up a lot of space and it is regularly in the way there. I am not sure what to do however we are not rehoming Spike again. He is part of the family now. I wonder how hard it is to transport the Heating & Air Conditioning ventilation ducts in a house, then would the serviceman have to tear up the ceiling? I am tempted to call a air conditioning service corporation however I fear I already know the answer and that it would be a lot of work and money to do this. It might be easier to just entirely rearrange our kitchen so that Spike is out of the way and comfortable however so are we.
