This winter, I noticed that my boiler was not working & it used to.
It worked great in every room except for the living room.
Sometimes it would be great in the living room, however other afternoons, it would be chilly. Despite the fact that I could hear the heater running, no hot air seemed to be getting through the living room vent. To start with, there is only one vent in my tiny little living room. That vent is under the table & I upset that perhaps food or other debris had gotten into it & plugged it up. I called out a Heating & A/C supplier & they sent out a serviceman. He walked around the home & then looked under the table. My basset hound, Flash, was laying under there; all lazy & sleeping. I told him Flash wouldn’t hurt him. The serviceman asked if Flash usually slept under the table. I informed him that she does. He laughed & said there was nothing wrong with my vents other than the fact that my pet was laying over them & blocking them. I had to laugh too, it made so much sense that I wondered why I hadn’t thought of it sooner. The next morning, I went to the pet store & got Flash a heated pet bed & put it under the table however not over the vent. The ungrateful pet still sleeps over my vent though… Oh well, I know I’ll just have to get a space heater for the living room, either that, or freeze.
