At my job, I am always talking on the phone.
Working from home, you have to be available for phone calls and video conferences throughout the afternoon.
Sporadically, I am unable to hear the woman on the other line because of the noisey window unit A/C in my office, however i moved my desk to be located directly under the window unit A/C because the room is truly hot in the afternoon, and I can definitely reach the power button to turn it off when I get a phone call. I do not think that it is necessary to keep the window unit A/C on all of the time, however during the afternoon, the afternoonlight shining through the windows is truly intense. The heat from the afternoonlight warms the office to nearly 85 degrees, at times. The windows are big and my desk is positioned to look out of the windows out to the street in front of my house. The first afternoon of moving the desk to under the window unit A/C went well. I didn’t receive too several calls that afternoon, so I wasn’t having to turn the A/C off and on all afternoon. The office reMained a comfortable temperature throughout the afternoon and I was able to hear all of my phone calls! As the week moved on and got much busier, I found myself having to turn the A/C off more and more throughout the labor afternoon. This started to get aggravating and I ended up leaving the A/C off most of the afternoon.
