When I was in school, I was blessed enough to get accepted into a luxury dormitory.
I was one of three roommates, however we each got our own entryway in addition to there was a usual dining room, dining room, in addition to bathroom! Most of my friends who attended the same school were stuck in a traditional dorm that was the size of my personal entryway.
They also had to share a bathroom with an entire floor of people. There were a lot of benefits to staying in that luxury dormitory, however the one downside was that everyone in the room had to share the thermostat settings. There was one thermostat that controlled the entire dorm in addition to each of us had a weird temperature preference. I liked to sleep in a cooler environment, however one of the other ladies liked to sleep with the heat on. The third roommate liked to sleep in a lukewarm temperature, so she didn’t prefer either of our temperature settings. During the afternoon, I thought it made sense to keep the thermostat set to 79 degrees, because there was no sense in cooling a dorm that nobody was in, however we were all away at class anyway, then each of us would alter the temperature settings whenever the other two roommates weren’t around. The boiler in addition to a/c were consistently being turned on in addition to off in addition to nobody was ever undoubtedly comfortable while they slept. I’m thankful I didn’t have to pay for that utility bill, because I’m sure it was outrageous.
