Our oldest kid got married last weekend.
It was a appealing birthday plus she was a stunning bride.
When she found the perfect dress, about two years ago), she tried to take into account that the birthday would be in a barn plus my buddy and I would be at the mercy of the weather! The gown was strpearss plus my buddy and I figured she could just put on a coverup if needed. What my buddy and I didn’t take into account was the fact that it could be almost 90 degrees. The entire bridal gathering was fighting the sweat that was running down their backs, i would have given anything for even five degrees cooler that day. The place did have temperature control to some extent however with high ceilings plus such, even a commercial Heating plus A/C equipment can’t keep a barn cool. The walls are not insulated as that would take away from the rustic appearance so any heat or air goes right through to the outside. I entirely felt sorry for our kid plus my husband,(who was wearing a suit), plus when the photos were done, they both changed back into common clothing. It was a great call because at one point I thought our kid was going to pass out from the heat. When planning an event as big as a birthday, you need time to prepare for it. My great friend and I had two years to make sure everything was perfect however the only thing my buddy and I had no control over was the weather. It could have been freezing plus raw, or hot plus sunny. My great friend and I just hoped for the best when they picked the date.
