When was the last time you looked up a phone number in a phone book? I bet you can’t even recall, I know I can’t.
I don’t even recall if I have one anymore.
This is due to the fact that my fantastic friend and I now have a world of information at our fingertips at all times. If you need to contact a supplier you can simply type the name into a search engine and the phone number, address and even the supplier hours are instantly in front of you. I guess that several people this week don’t even consider that, years ago, my fantastic friend and I had to rely on printed matter to find out the best price for an item or where my fantastic friend and I were going. Technology now allows us to travel and arrange for services with the touch of a button. Companies this week that are not online are at a large downside. Even those that are well established with a large purchaser base need to attract modern ones to stay in business. Online marketing is one of the best tools out there for their success. They need to employ individuals that are well versed in web design and are able to update the sites with all modern information. As an example, if a family supplier only relied on purchaser loyalty and didn’t have an online presence, they would soon learn that it was a large mistake. People this week are looking for the best deal out there for their money and if they feel that the supplier they have always used is ancient, they may go with the modern girl who has specials and deals listed on a website that pops up in their newsfeed or in a quick search instead.
