My dad owns the biggest HVAC company in this part of the state, and sometimes that ends up being a bad thing.
I had to make a rule about dating HVAC technicians because of it.
I never knew whether someone was interested in me because they wanted to work for my dad or what, so I finally decided that I was going to swear off dating HVAC technicians at all. The problem with that is the fact that my dad is also the biggest employer in this part of the state. In other words, that really shrinks the dating pool for me. There are so many guys who work for him in this area that it’s just crazy. I can never tell if they work for my dad or if they don’t because most of the guys that come around have on a uniform of some sort! The problem is that most of the uniforms that people wear around here look the same. There are several industrial places and factories around here and they match the uniforms that the HVAC workers who work for my dad wear. So I can’t just tell by looking whether or not these guys are HVAC technicians. Whenever I decided that I wasn’t going to ever date another HVAC worker again, I met a really nice guy when I was out bowling with some of my friends one night. This guy seemed like he was perfect and I really liked him. He was handsome and funny and really polite and kind. We really hit it off until I asked him where he worked!
