My first car was a green sedan with no air conditioning.
I will never forget how miserable it was to drive around with no air conditioning in my car.
The only benefit of having no AC in my car was that my friends never wanted to ride with me, so I always lucked out on not driving. When I first got the car, I remember the AC working fine. It was not until a year into having the vehicle that I noticed the fan was blowing hot air. Once in a while, the AC would blow cold air and I would become overjoyed with happiness. The car would have been fantastic if it weren’t for the lack of air conditioning. Driving to high school was not too bad, it was driving home that would make me so miserable. I remember sitting afternoon traffic drenched in sweat and wondering if I would ever have a car with air conditioning in my life. I kept the car for several years until the transmission stopped working. This was a blessing in disguise. My new car was only a few years old and had blew freezing-cold air from the vents each time I turned on the car. I was so happy with my new car purchase that I even forgot how miserable it is not to have AC while driving. Recently, my car had an issue where the AC had needed to be recharged. I was terrified that I would not be able to afford the repair and that I would be stuck driving around sticky and miserable again like I was over a decade ago.
