On my lunch break, I began researching HEPA air filters and I was happy to find that they could also be installed in traditional HVAC systems.
I’m a registered nurse at a massive hospital. As a nurse that’s been working for the same hospital for over 10 years, I’ve learned a lot about codes and regulations. One of the most recent things I discovered though, was how the hospital was able to keep the air so fresh and clean. While I was talking to a supervisor, I asked her how we kept viruses and other airborne illnesses from spreading through the air. She told me that the hospital only used specific air filters and purifiers in their HVAC system. This is how we started discussing HEPA certified air filters. According to my supervisor, HEPA air filters were the best on the market. They were thick and durable and they could trap more dust and debri than any other air filter. A HEPA certified air filter was also able to remove up to 99% of airborne illnesses. I thought this was fantastic, and started wondering why I couldn’t have something similar in my home. On my lunch break, I began researching HEPA air filters and I was happy to find that they could also be installed in traditional HVAC systems. As I was expecting, they were more expensive than basic air filters, but I felt like they did a lot more and kept the air cleaner. I ordered a pack of HEPA air filters and waited patiently for them to arrive at my front door. Now, I try and convince everyone else to install HEPA air filters too.
