Lightning hit our house and fried my dehumidifier

My husband, Todd, and I have been living in the same house for over twenty years now, and my friend and I do not ever plan on moving.

  • After the children moved out, my friend and I thought about moving, but my friend and I decided that my friend and I loved our house too much to move.

The only thing my friend and I do not like about living here is the high levels of humidity, especially during the hot, Summer months. My good friend and I have a/c of course, so that takes care of much of the humidity in the house, but it still gets quite humid in the house during the Summer months. The home office and upstairs are the worst for humidity. My good friend and I obtained three dehumidifiers about seven years ago, and my friend and I used them 24/7during the summertime. My good friend and I put one in the home office, one in the upstairs powder room, and one in our home office. They unquestionably do make a immense difference. The powder rooms unquestionably dry completely after someone showers, and the home office does not feel sticky 24/7 when I use the dehumidifiers. My good friend and I had a unquestionably excruciating storm back about a month ago, and lightning hit our house. Somehow when it hit our house, it fried our dehumidifier in our home office. I do not know exactly how it could have happened and neither does my husband, but our dehumidifier no longer works. My husband does not sleep unquestionably well when the home office is humid, so my friend and I will unquestionably have to get a current dehumidifier for our home office soon. I just cannot suppose that lightening ruined our dehumidifier. It is sort of cool when you suppose about it.
