It only took about an hour for the house to be boiling hot
I did not realize when I moved into my new home that it would be so hot during the summer months. I wish that someone would have warned me. I think that I probably would not have moved here. I do not mind a little bit of heat in the summer, but when it gets up into the upper nineties, it is too hot for me. I did not grow up with this kind of heat. My family lived up north for most of my life, but when I was a teenager, we moved a few states south, and I loved it. It was definitely warmer, but it was not too warm. I thought that I would love moving further south because of that, but I was wrong. It just gets hotter and hotter the further down you go. My parents did not even own an air conditioner when we lived up north, but we did buy one when we moved south. We really only used it during the summer months because that is the only time that you really needed air conditioning. Where my husband and I live now, it is so hot that we use the air conditioner almost year round. It cost a lot of money, but it is necessary. We actually had our air conditioner stop working recently. It was miserable. It quit on the 4th of July. We had a large group of friends and family over to celebrate, and the air conditioner in our house stopped working around three o’clock in the afternoon. It only took about an hour for the house to be boiling hot. Thankfully, we were able to get an HVAC technician in the next day. Air conditioning is simply a must where we live now.
