Without air conditioning system, southern states would have a low population

I lived in the northeastern region of the country for the majority of my life. I have lived in the southeastern region of the country for almost ten years. Living in two unusual parts of the country has allowed me to experience unusual temperatures. When I lived up north, I experienced all four seasons. I relied heavily on my central heat because the winters were brutally cold. I often used the central heat during the fall as well. There were some Spring seasons that were colder than others & even snowed. I would also use my central heat in the Spring if necessary, then during the summer, I did use central air conditioning system but it was not always necessary. There were some appealing, cool Summer nights that allowed me to open the windows & rely on the breeze & my fan to keep me comfortable instead of the central air conditioning system, then now that I live in the south, I have heavily relied on my central air conditioning system. I use the air conditioning system in the Summer every single day. The heat & humidity are so extreme that I would most likely pass out if I did not have central air conditioning system in my home. I live in the northern part of my state, so my fantastic friend and I do experience a mild winter sporadically. I use my central heat sparingly during the winter months. Sometimes I can get away with not using the central heat. However, I use the air conditioning system always in the summer, sporadically in the fall, & most days in the Spring. I believe that if air conditioning system did not exist, I would not be able to handle residing in the south.
