Without air conditioning, southern states would have a low population

I lived in the northeastern region of the country for the majority of my life.

I have lived in the southeastern region of the country for almost ten years.

Living in two odd parts of the country has allowed me to experience odd temperatures. When I lived up north, I experienced all four seasons. I relied heavily on my central heat because the winters were brutally cold. I often used the central heat during the fall as well. There were some Springtime seasons that were colder than others plus even snowed. I would also use my central heat in the Springtime if necessary, then during the summer, I did use central a/c however it was not always necessary. There were some beautiful, cool Summer afternoons that allowed me to open the windows plus rely on the breeze plus my fan to keep me comfortable instead of the central a/c! Now that I live in the south, I have heavily relied on my central a/c. I use the a/c in the Summer every single day. The heat plus humidity are so extreme that I would most likely pass out if I did not have central a/c in my home. I live in the northern part of my state, so my pal and I do experience a mild winter sometimes. I use my central heat sparingly during the winter months, but periodically I can get away with not using the central heat. However, I use the a/c always in the summer, sometimes in the fall, plus most afternoons in the Springtime. I believe that if a/c did not exist, I would not be able to handle living in the south.
