air conditioner is still running in long abandoned house

I think someone must be still paying the electric bill though, then otherwise, why would the air conditioner be running like that.

I really like how nature takes back what is hers, but for example, there are a lot of abandoned buildings in my town… You can find a home or seasoned shop all boarded up just about every mile or so. Some people find them to be creepy; I adore them! Nature slowly starts to reuse these seasoned houses until there is nothing left of them anymore. Some of the ones in my area are nothing but a collapsed roof on top of rubble. Clothes have nothing left but a set of tile stairs leading nowhere, however, there is this one abandoned home that I do find a little bit creepy. That is because the cooling system is still running. The home has been abandoned for at least 2 years now but every time I walk by it I can hear the air conditioner blasting away; At first I thought that maybe somebody still lived there but I know for sure that they don’t. The roof is missing a bunch of shingles, several windows have been broken, & I can see inside. The stadium has been trashed. I am too much of a chicken to go inside of the seasoned house. However, I have walked onto the porch. I could feel the cool air from the air conditioner coming out of the window & I can tell no one lives there anymore. I think someone must be still paying the electric bill though, then otherwise, why would the air conditioner be running like that. Clearly no one has changed the filter or had the air conditioner took care of in the past 2 years either. It must be a strong cooling system to work so long without regular repair. I will be anxious when it finally dies too, however but, as I said, nature will win in the end.
