My family recently got a pet bearded dragon! Spike is an adult plus my associate and I got all his heat lights plus UVB fixtures with him.
He is a charming addition to the family, however, the place my associate and I set aside for him in the livingroom is simply not going to work; The Heating plus A/C vent is right over that spot plus it pipes cold freezing air right into his tank when the central air conditioner is on.
It is Summer right now so the air conditioner is on all the time plus poor Spike is freezing blooded. The first two days, my associate and I tried closing the vent plus letting the vents from the rest of the apartment cool the kitchen, but that didn’t work. The kitchen got particularly overheated plus uncomfortable. So my associate and I moved Spike to the middle of the hallway but his tank is immense plus takes up a lot of space plus it is typically in the way there. I am not sure what to do but my associate and I are not rehoming Spike again. He is part of the family now. I wonder how difficult it is to transfer the Heating plus A/C ventilation ducts in a house, then would the serviceman have to tear up the ceiling? I am tempted to call a air conditioner repair supplier despite the fact that I fear I already know the answer plus that it would be a lot of work plus money to do this. It might be easier to just entirely rearrange our kitchen so that Spike is out of the way plus comfortable but so are we.
