This winter, I observed that my heating system was not working as well as it used to.
It worked superb in every room except for the study room.
Sometimes it would be nice in the study room, but other nights, it would be freezing, despite the fact that I could hear the furnace running, no boiling air seemed to be getting through the study room vent. To start with, there is only one vent in my tiny little study room. That vent is under the table plus I worried that perhaps food or other debris had gotten into it plus clogged it up. I called out a Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier plus they sent out a dealer. She walked around the home plus then looked under the table. My basset hound, Flash, was kneeling under there; all lazy plus sleeping. I told him Flash wouldn’t hurt him. The supplier asked if Flash usually slept under the table. I informed him that she does. She laughed plus said there was nothing wrong with my vents other than the fact that my pet was kneeling over them plus blocking them. I had to laugh too, it made so much sense that I wondered why I hadn’t thought of it sooner. The next day, I went to the pet store plus got Flash a heated pet bed plus put it under the table but not over the vent. The ungrateful pet still sleeps over my vent though, but oh well, I guess I’ll just have to get a space furnace for the study room, either that, or freeze.
